Reduction of plastic packaging
A sustainable production method is an important factor when assessing the sustainability of a product or brand. This includes, for example, the use of environmentally friendly materials and the implementation of measures to reduce energy and water consumption during production
In the last 2 years, Powermints has reduced 65% of its plastic use in packaging by either replacing plastic with cardboard boxes made from recycled paper or now using recyclable plastic.
Further important steps to avoid plastic will be implemented by the end of 2023.
Tin can
80% of our total production consists of filling our mints in tinplate metal cans. Tinplate is environmentally friendly because it is infinitely recyclable and has a recycling rate of 97% in Germany.
